Explore the Northern Territory's unique and diverse wildlife at home or in the great outdoors with the Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory's Field Guide app.
The app combines detailed animal descriptions with stunning imagery and sounds to provide a valuable reference that can be used in urban, bush and coastal environments. It holds descriptions of nearly 600 species, from animals found in tropical rivers and reefs, the outback desert, and your backyard; covering colourful birds, iconic fish and mammals, crocodiles and dangerous snakes, through to tiny termites. We’ve put in a lot of species, but it’s still a fraction of the complete fauna of the Northern Territory. Our scientists will continue to add additional species and refine descriptions over time.
If you have trouble either downloading the app or with the app crashing, please refer to our app support page.(http://museumvictoria.com.au/discoverycentre/museum-victoria-apps/mv-field-guide-to-victoria-app/support/)
